Steps

  1. Type district email address, select Next
  2. Type district password, select Next
  3. Type district username and password
    • Username: Student ID or lastname_firstname
    • Password: District password
  4. Re-enter password

Step-by-step Mac instructions for setup

Step 1

  • Connect to your Wifi

Step 2

  • Enter your SKPS email using your Student Number (SID)
    #######@salemkeizer.org

Step 3

  • Re-Enter your Student Number (SID) and password

Step 4

  • Open Google Chrome to sync your SKPS account

Step 5

  • Click “Get Started”
  • Click “Next”
  • Scroll down then click on “Next”

Step 6

  • Click “Continue” until prompted to type SKPS email (just like Step 2)
  • Click “Next”

Step 7

  • Type SKPS password then click “Next”

PASSWORD REMINDERS

  • Password is case and character sensitive
  • Password format will vary for levels
  • High/Middle School: passwords are the student’s first name initial,last name initial (if there are two last names, it will only be the initial of the first last name; not both), birth month, birth date, birth year (no zeros are needed for one-digit dates)
    Example: ab122007 (Jan.2.2007) or ab12232007 (Dec.23.2007)
  • Elementary: district provided short word and number Example: mat1.sit3

Step 8

  • Click “Next” 
  • Click “Yes, I’m in!”

Step 9

  • Close all extra open pages/tabs using red dot in top left corner

Step 10

  • Your Macbook is  now set up for EDGE!

REMINDER

Every week your device needs to be completely shut down. Closing the screen or restarting will not allow all updates to happen.

Step 3

  • Type SKPS password then click “Next”

  • Check for your initials in a circle in the top right corner (this shows you Google account is synced properly)

  • Close all tabs and restart device.
