Reading is one of the best ways to get inside someone else’s head and see the world from another perspective.

Whether you are reading for fun, or reading to understand, here are some lists of books that honor those of Native American/Indigenous/First Nations Heritage, as we celebrate these cultures all November.

Don’t see what you are looking for? You can always email Mrs. Evans for a recommendation or book an appointment though her Office Hours (at the bottom of this webpage).

Some of these books are available on TumbleBooks (elementary) or the soon-to-arrive TeenBookCloud (MS/HS), while others are available on Axis360 (MS/HS) or the Salem Public Library. Students can also visit their resident school library to check out books, or email the EDGE librarian, Mrs. Evans, to arrange picking up a library book at the EDGE office. Find your favorite way to curl up with a good book on a rainy day!
