As we approach the end of the quarter, we wanted to remind you about our adjusted schedules over the next two weeks. If you have any questions about this schedule, please connect with your classroom teacher or call our office at 503-399-3041.

Jan. 25: Care and Connection Day – Elementary only

Next Monday, Jan. 25 there will be no live class sessions for EDGE elementary students. Middle and High school students will have classes as usual on Jan. 25.

EDGE teachers will be connecting with incoming EDGE families and ensuring a smooth transition between learning models for all students.

Feb. 1: No classes – Grading Day & Staff Development

On Monday, Feb. 1 there will be no school for all SKPS students, including students in the EDGE program for secondary grading and elementary staff development.

Feb. 2: – Beyond: Creating Opportunities ­– Secondary only

On Feb. 2 and 3, secondary students across SKPS, including EDGE students will participate in a new, event called “Beyond: Creating Opportunities and Launching Your Future.” The event features keynote speaker and spoken word poet Brandon Leake, the recent winner of America’s Got Talent.

This two-day event will provide students with opportunities to learn about educational and career options, hone their skills, find out what really matters from industry professionals, college admission counselors, military partners and more!

Students will learn more about this event and how they will access the virtual sessions during their advisory classes.
