Let’s Grow Together this Spring!

“Grow EDGE Veg” School-wide Contest starts Tuesday, February 25th!

 

Stop by the EDGE office from February 25th - March 6th to pick up or exchange SEED packets to participate in our school-wide contest to grow backyard veggies and more!

Three seed packets per student.

 

STEP 1 PICK UP SEEDS (2/25 - 3/6)

Select plants that your family wants to grow--we recommend that you pick 1-2 you already eat, and 1 that you want to try.

 

STEP 2: MAKE A POT & ADD SOIL

Using well-draining potting soil is best, but plants are amazing and will grow in regular dirt.

 

STEP 3: ADD WATER, LIGHT, WARMTH

Seeds need 12-14 hours of light, so in a window is a good spot, or on a porch/patio. This helps them stay warmer too. Dirt should be moist, but not wet or dry.

 

STEP 4: STUDENTS SUBMIT PICS OF SEEDLINGS IN LATE APRIL

We will post the submission links for pics of your plants in Advisory in late April and see what we have grown!
